Schwank. The German economy is popular across the world for its strong medium-scale companies. For this reason, Wirtschaftswoche annually honours companies that belong to the German medium-scale companies and can establish and assert themselves in the international markets. The jury of the award, consisting of representatives of the world-renowned University of St. Gallen and the Academy of German World Market leaders, evaluates not only the volume of sales, but also the sales share generated abroad and the number of continents in which the company is represented.
